Kefu Chen, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor at South China University of Technology. He also holds positions as the Deputy Director of the Academic Committee and Director of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Engineering at the South China University of Technology.

He has undertaken and completed the key project "Development of Domestic High-speed Papermaking Machines" under the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" National Science and Technology Support Program. Currently, he is involved in the significant task "Key Technology Industrialization Demonstration of Water Pollution Control in the Papermaking Industry in Key River Basins" under the "National Major Science and Technology Special Project for Water Pollution Control and Treatment."

With 33 papers indexed in SCI and 110 papers indexed in EI, his work has been cited 1561 times. He received the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award in 2002, the Second Prize of the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2010, and multiple first prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels for scientific and technological progress. He was honored with the China Patent Excellence Award in 2009, the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Award for Youth Innovation in 2010, the China Patent Excellence Award, and the Third Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award. Additionally, he has been granted 36 patents for his inventions.

Ruxu Du holds distinguished positions across several prestigious engineering academies and serves as the Chief Scientist at Guangdong HealthTech BioMedTech Co., Ltd., specializing in precision manufacturing. He is recognized as a high-level national talent and a leading talent for science and technology in Guangdong Province. He has earned Fellowships from renowned organizations such as the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

His academic journey commenced with a doctoral degree from the University of Michigan in 1989, followed by an illustrious career spanning 28 years across esteemed institutions such as the University of Windsor in Canada, the University of Miami in the United States, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Du's impactful roles in China encompass founding directorship at the Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and founding dean of the School of Intelligent Engineering at the South China University of Technology. His scholarly contributions are extensive, boasting a publication record of over 500 papers in international journals and conferences, authoring seven monographs, and holding a portfolio of more than 100 patents. Dr. Du's outstanding work has been recognized with awards for exceptional papers at international conferences, totaling 21 prestigious honors. He has also chaired more than 20 international conferences and serves actively as an associate editor or committee member for eight leading international academic journals. Dr. Du's impact extends beyond academia. Over the years, he has spearheaded over 30 research projects across various countries (the United States, Canada, and China ), securing project funding exceeding 120 million RMB as the principal investigator. His pioneering work in precision engineering encompasses diverse areas such as precision medical device design and manufacturing, precision forming technology, and mechanical clock and watch design and manufacturing technology. Under his guidance, Dr. Du's team has achieved significant milestones, developing multiple promising products, with nearly ten projects successfully transitioning to industrialization. These endeavors have been instrumental in advancing domestic medical device manufacturing technology, contributing significantly to the field's growth.

Xianyou Wang, born in September 1962, is an esteemed member of the Communist Party of China and one of the first cohort of second-level professors in Hunan Province. He serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor at Xiangtan University, boasting an impressive international standing with affiliations that include being a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) in the United Kingdom. Notably, he ranks among the top 2% of leading global scientists at Stanford University and has received nine consecutive recognitions as a "Highly Cited Chinese Scholar." Wang's exceptional contributions have merited special allowances from the State Council of China. His extensive involvement spans various key roles within academia and professional societies. Wang serves as the Deputy Director of the China Energy Storage and Power Battery Special Committee and holds memberships in the China Electrochemical Society and directorships in the China Solid State Ionics Society. He also leads as the Chairman of the Expert Committee of the Hunan Battery Industry Association and Vice Chairman of the Expert Committee of the Hunan New Materials Association. Additionally, Wang takes on pivotal leadership roles as the Director of the "National International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for New Energy Equipment and Energy Storage Materials and Devices," the "National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Key Materials Preparation Technology of New Energy Storage Batteries," and the "Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion." Moreover, he assumes the chief editorship of theUniversal Journal of Carbon Research (UJCR) and holds positions on the editorial boards of over ten domestic and international academic journals, includingBattery,Electroplating and Finishing,C-Journal of Carbon Research,Energy Materials, andRenewable and Sustainable Energy. His illustrious career has been adorned with more than ten provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards, including the 12th China Invention Patent Excellence Award and the Second Prize for Technological Invention in Hunan Province. Wang's scholarly contributions are profound, with over 540 authored papers, among which more than 520 are indexed in SCI. His inventive spirit is evident through applications for 32 national invention patents, with 28 successfully granted. Notably, he co-authored China's inaugural monograph on lithium-ion batteries, titledLithium-ion Batteries.

Kaiming Wu, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, recognized with special government allowances by the State Council of China, occupies the role of Senior Research Scholar at the University of Cambridge and a Researcher at the Tsukuba Space Center of Japan. He holds esteemed titles such as an Excellent New Century Talent by the Ministry of Education, "Chutian Scholar," a distinguished professor in Hubei Province, and an honorary member of the Guangdong Dr. Council for the Promotion of Innovation and Development.

In the realm of academia, Wu spearheads the State Key Laboratory jointly established by the Wuhan University of Science and Technology for Refractories and Metallurgy and the Collaborative Innovation Center jointly established by provincial and ministerial authorities for High-Performance Steel Materials and Their Applications. His expertise lies in high-performance steel materials and their application properties, focusing on teaching and research encompassing steel metallurgy, physical metallurgy, and welding metallurgy. His prolific career encompasses leadership and participation in over 50 scientific and technological development projects, including three key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Wu's impactful contributions have been acknowledged with 11 national and provincial-level scientific and technological awards, notably including the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award. His inventive prowess shines through a repertoire of over 90 patented inventions, complemented by the publication of more than 410 academic papers. Wu holds pivotal roles as the Executive Vice President of the International Research Institute for Steel Technology at Wuhan University of Science and Technology and serves as the Executive Deputy Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for High-Performance Steel Materials and Their Applications, a national-level collaborative innovation center. Additionally, he assumes responsibilities as the Vice Chairman of the China Ocean Materials Industry Technology Innovation Alliance and as the Executive Vice President of the Maritime Wind Power Research Branch of the Pacific Society of China. His contributions extend to editorial responsibilities, serving on the editorial boards of journals such asMaterials Science and Technology andJournal of Iron and Steel Researchin both their Chinese and English editions.

He assumes a pivotal academic role at the State Key Laboratory of Pulp and Paper Engineering (SKLPPE) and holds the esteemed position of Director at the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Filtration and Wet Process Nonwoven Composites. Beyond his academic responsibilities, Cheng holds influential leadership roles in various esteemed associations and societies, including the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society for Imaging Science and Technology (CSIST), Executive Director of the Printing Technology Association of China (PTCA), Deputy Director of the Technology Committee of the China Packaging Federation (CPF), and Chairman of the Guangdong Packaging Technology Association. His impactful work has garnered esteemed recognition, including three first prizes and over ten second prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels for scientific and technological progress. Cheng's dedication to innovation and collaboration has earned him accolades such as the Advanced Individual Award for Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation in China and the Invention and Entrepreneurship Achievement Award (Individual Award) from the China Association of Inventions.

With an illustrious career spanning over 30 years, Li has made substantial contributions to the research and industrialization of advanced metal materials. Li's remarkable contributions have earned him recognition through 16 scientific and technological awards at both national and provincial levels. His inventive spirit is evident in 32 authorized invention patents, complemented by a repertoire of 306 published papers, substantially shaping China's new materials industry. His dedication and achievements have been honored through various accolades, including the Guangdong Annual Contribution Award, the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, recognition as the Scientific Chinese of the Year, the "My Favorite Mentor" accolade at the South China University of Technology, and the esteemed Nanshan Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation in Guangzhou.
